The welcome event for international students was an interesting night, when we entered the hall we were gifted an Inje university broach, some rice cakes and we could choose a small gift which was either a card holder or a luggage tag. I chose this cute luggage tag with cats printed on it.
교환 학생을 위한 환영행사는 정말 재미있었다. 입구에 들어설 때 인제대 브로치와 떡을 받았고, 또 카드홀더와 네임택 중 한 가지를 고를 수 있었다. 나는 고양이가 그려진 귀여운 네임택을 선택했다.
为国际学生而举办的新生欢迎仪式让我们度过了一个美妙的夜晚，当我们步入礼堂的时候，都拿到了仁济大学准备的校徽和一些年糕。并且还有供我们挑选的小礼物，卡包或者是行李牌。我挑选了一个印有可爱的小猫图案的行李牌。
The auditorium was a large room and there were many international students from all over the world. It was interesting to see how many international students there were because on campus normally it is so busy we do not get a chance to meet.
강당은 정말 넓었고, 전 세계에서 온 많은 학생들이 있었다. 보통 캠퍼스에서는 다들 바빠서 그들을 만날 기회가 없었기 때문에 많은 학생들을 보는 것은 흥미로웠다.
We were greeted by the president of the university and other teachers made speeches, there were singing and dancing performances from students and the atmosphere was really nice. I even made a small speech about my time in the international press after being appointed for this semester but I was so nervous that I don’t think the words came out well.
총장님과 여러 선생님들이 우리를 환영해주었다. 학생들의 춤과 댄스 공연이 있었고, 정말 신나는 분위기였다. 나는 국제기자단으로서 보낸 시간들에 대해 간단한 발표를 했었는데 너무 긴장한 나머지 말이 잘 나오지 않았다.
学校的校长与各位老师都进行了演讲以表示对我们的欢迎，同学们表演了歌曲和舞蹈，场内气氛一片欢愉。我还上台进行了一小段关于在国际记者团的发言，但是我有些太过于紧张了以至于言语并不那么流畅。

It was also my first time hearing the university song, this is something so different from the UK because to my knowledge my university in the UK does not have a school song. We do not even have these kinds of welcome events for new students so it was a pleasant experience.
또한 교가를 처음 들어보았다. 영국이랑 굉장히 다른 느낌이었는데, 우리 학교는 교가가 없기 때문인 것 같다. 우리 학교는 이러한 환영행사도 하지 않기 때문에 정말 즐거운 경험이었다.

After the welcome ceremony, we headed over to the school cafeteria for complementary Samgye-tang (Ginseng chicken soup). I was a bit nervous and did not know where to sit but some international student from Saudi Arabia offered to eat with me which was really nice and we got into a discussion about our time at Inje university so far. Overall it was a pleasant evening.
환영행사가 끝나고, 우리는 삼계탕을 먹으러 학교 식당으로 향했다. 어디에 앉아야 될지 조금 걱정했었는데 사우디 아라비아 학생들이 같이 먹자고 해서 정말 좋았다. 우리는 밥을 먹으면서 지금까지의 학교생활에 대해 이야기를 나누었다. 즐거운
저녁이었다.
欢迎仪式落下帷幕，我们便来到了学校食堂吃参鸡汤。起初，我还为不知道该坐在哪里好而担忧，但是一些来自沙特阿拉伯的朋友邀请我与他们一起吃饭，真是太好了。于是我们便一起讨论了在仁济大学的所见所闻。总之，我度过了一个非常美妙的夜晚。
