Local festivals
가야문화 축제
It seems that now is the season for many local festivals and I took this time outside of exams to visit a couple over the long weekend. Firstly I attended Gimhae Gaya festival, the most local festival that celebrated the history of the local area.
There were so many people it was overwhelming! There must have been hundreds of attendees, The a contestant from Produce 101 Chungha performed her hit song "Rollercoaster" which brought in a huge crowd.
With my friend Neenah from America, she teaches in a local school
부산 어방축제
Later on the same weekend, I visited Gwangali where they were holding 부산 어방축제 there were live theatre performances and stalls lining the entire beach selling handmade and traditional items.
I met up with my Korean friend Changsu for the first time in so long, was good to catch up and get to see this together.
Local people had placed their wishes onto lanterns that formed small arches along the seafront, it was the same as Gaya festival.
With my friends Changsu (Korean friend) and Taha (Morrocon friend), We all first met at a local language exchange group in Gimhae, so nice to see them again after so long
